Method 1 — Inside the app (recommended)
If you can sign in, deleting your account from the app gives you the fastest, fully-automated experience.
- Open the GBCORP Education app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Account Settings.
- Scroll to Privacy and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion in 30 days.
- Need to change your mind? Sign back in within 30 days and tap Cancel on the red banner at the top of Account Settings.
Method 2 — Email request
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request from the email address on your account:

We confirm receipt within 2 business days. Once your identity is verified we schedule deletion and notify you by email. Maximum response time: 30 days (per GDPR Art. 12).
What gets deleted
- Account & profile — name, email, phone, photo, role.
- Learning progress — lessons opened, reading/listening time, scroll positions, completion records.
- Assessment data — quiz attempts, exam results, certificates.
- Financial records — fee history (subject to legal-hold for tax law in some jurisdictions).
- Communications — support tickets you created.
- Uploaded files — avatar and any files you submitted.
- Authentication — your sign-in credentials (you will not be able to sign back in afterwards).
What may be retained
- Anonymised analytics — aggregate usage data with no personal identifiers.
- Tax / accounting records — invoices and payment receipts where statutory retention applies (typically 5–10 years depending on jurisdiction).
- Backups — encrypted backups are retained for up to 35 days and then automatically purged. Personal data within them is unrecoverable in normal operations.
Timeline
- Day 0 — Deletion scheduled. Account remains accessible.
- Days 1-29 — Grace period. Sign back in and tap Cancel to abort.
- Day 30 — Daily background job hard-deletes everything listed above.
- Day 30 + ~35 days — Backups containing the last copies expire and are purged.
Children's accounts
If the account is for a user below the age of digital consent (e.g. under 13 in the US, under 16 in most EU countries), the parent or guardian may submit the deletion request via the same email channel. We will verify the parental relationship before processing.
